Historic civic building scanned in just 23 minutes 

In town for a technology conference, the Emesent team took advantage of a beautiful day in Boise, Idaho, scanning the State Capitol with Emesent GX1.

In one stroll, the backpack-mounted GX1 picked up the building's 208-foot dome, the warm sandstone exterior, and the statues in the gardens. The four onboard cameras added 360° imagery, so the color and fine stonework came through in the finished point cloud.

The final result? A detailed, full-color point cloud of a landmark building from one short walk.
