Trimble workflow integration

Emesent SLAM data,
from quick capture to Trimble ecosystem
Turn GPS-denied and inaccessible sites into standard survey deliverables. No exports or manual workarounds. Just an easy streamlined workflow.

Two mobile scanners, endless deliverables

Emesent’s Trimble workflow integration enables direct transfer of scanning and survey data from Emesent GX1 and Emesent Hovermap into Trimble Connect.

Emesent data can then be used in Trimble’s construction management suite of solutions, including Trimble Business Center, Tekla® Structures building information modeling (BIM) software and Trimble SketchUp® 3D modeling software.

Why pair Emesent SLAM with your Trimble workflow?

You already trust Trimble for survey-grade GNSS. Emesent's SLAM scanners are built to complement that workflow, not replace it — picking up exactly where GNSS signal drops out: indoors, underground, dense canopy, confined spaces.

Reliability

Emesent SLAM has been proven in some of the most demanding environments on earth, including GPS-denied underground mines. GX1 delivers 5–10mm global accuracy unconstrained, or 15mm with RTK/PPK — consistently, project after project.

Interoperability

Captured data processes in Aura Cloud into dense, georeferenced point clouds, then flows straight into Trimble Connect and Trimble Business Center. No exports, no format conversions, no workarounds.

Integration

A true Capture → Connect → Create pipeline. Raw scans go in; clean, georeferenced point clouds come out — ready to feed BIM models, as-built documentation, and digital twins alongside the rest of your Trimble deliverables.

Versatility & scalability

Subscription-based and scalable per project. Capture from a survey pole, handheld, backpack, vehicle, drone, or robot dog — Aura Cloud processes the data the same way regardless of how it was captured.

Emesent GX1

All-in-one SLAM, RTK, and 360° capture in a single device. Pick it up and start scanning — in GPS-denied environments or wide-open sites alike. Built-in RTK/PPK receiver, four 20MP cameras for 360° panoramas, and removable batteries mean no cable clutter in the field.
  • 5–10mm local accuracy, unconstrained with SLAM
  • 15mm global accuracy with RTK/PPK
  • Mounts on backpack, survey pole, vehicle, or hand-held

Hovermap STX

Autonomous, AI-powered mapping for the environments GPS can't reach — underground mines, tunnels, confined structures, disaster sites. Unmatched versatility, with mounting options that include drone, backpack, vehicle, and robot.
  • 5–10mm local accuracy, unconstrained with SLAM
  • 15–30mm global accuracy with RTK/PPK
  • Pair with a Trimble R12i for RTK-validated accuracy at the point of capture

Frequently Asked
Questions

How does Emesent scan data get into Trimble Business Center?
Scans captured on Emesent GX1 or Hovermap STX are processed in Aura Cloud, which generates dense, georeferenced point clouds. These flow directly into Trimble Connect, then into Trimble Business Center — no manual exports or file conversions needed.
What Trimble software is the workflow compatible with?
Beyond Trimble Business Center, Emesent point cloud data supports Trimble's wider construction management suite, including Tekla Structures for BIM and Trimble SketchUp for 3D modeling.
Will Emesent get access to all my Trimble projects?
No. The first time you send data to Trimble Connect, you'll sign in to your Trimble account and approve access. Emesent Cloud will only be able to access the projects that you already have permission to access — nothing more.
How accurate is the captured data?
Emesent GX1 delivers 5–10mm local accuracy unconstrained with SLAM, or 15mm global accuracy with RTK/PPK.

Hovermap achieves 5–10mm unconstrained, or 15–30mm global with RTK/PPK — and can be paired with a Trimble R980 for RTK-validated accuracy at the point of capture.
