As Queensland winner, Emesent now progresses to the Australian Export Awards 2026 as a national finalist, with winners to be announced on 18 November.

Brisbane, Australia October 20, 2026 ―  Today, Emesent, an autonomous mapping and robotics company, is delighted to announce that it has been selected as the winner in the Digital and Smart Technologies category at the Premier Of Queensland's Export Awards 2026.

The Digital and Smart Technologies category highlights a company's outstanding international success in information technology, digital technologies, software, hardware or digital services. The awards seek to highlight Queensland-based companies that have achieved sustainable growth and successfully exported products and services into international markets.

Headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland, Emesent operates local R&D and manufacturing facilities and employs over 100 staff. Overseas markets have been a key focus for the business since its founding in 2018 and its technology is sold in more than 40 countries across mining, construction and infrastructure, and defense markets through a global network of resellers and channel partners.

With Emesent being selected as a winner, this means that the company will now also progress on as a national finalist to the Australian Export Awards, which is the country's longest-running business awards program. Run and managed by Austrade, the national winners will be announced at an event to be held on 18 November 2026 in The Great Hall, Parliament House, Canberra.

“We're incredibly proud to receive this recognition, particularly as international markets have been central to Emesent's growth since we founded the company in 2018," said Dr. Stefan Hrabar, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder of Emesent.

"What started in Brisbane has grown into a business serving customers in more than 40 countries, and this award is a testament to the dedication of our team and the global demand for the technology we're developing here in Queensland.”

This latest award follows on from the Emesent GX1 being selected as a winner at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards recently, as well as a year of growth for the company, as it announced $25 million (AUD) in new funding to further accelerate the development of its range of products.
