Data from Emesent's high-accuracy SLAM scanners now plugs directly into the Trimble ecosystem, turning challenging sites into standard survey deliverables

Munich, Germany, September 15, 2026 ―  Emesent, an autonomous mapping and robotics company, today announces at INTERGEO 2026, the world’s leading annual conference for geospatial technology, that it has integrated its mobile Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) scanners with Trimble® Business Center software and the Trimble Connect® collaboration platform.

The integration enables direct transfer of scanning and survey data from Emesent’s high-accuracy mobile Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) scanners into Trimble Connect, which extends the use of the Emesent data in Trimble’s construction management suite of solutions, including Trimble Business Center, Tekla® Structures building information modeling (BIM) software and Trimble SketchUp® 3D modeling software.

Emesent’s two award-winning scanners are included within this integration: Emesent GX1, the world's most accurate integrated mobile SLAM and Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) scanner, and Emesent Hovermap STX, a versatile mapping system designed for drone-based surveying, autonomous inspection, using SLAM-based LiDAR mapping. Both are built on the same underlying SLAM technology, proven across the world's most challenging environments, from underground mines to GPS-denied spaces, to everyday surveying applications like infrastructure inspection and terrain mapping applications.

“This integration brings the power of our proven SLAM-based scanning technology into Trimble's industry-leading geospatial data management and collaboration software,” said Ryan Palfrey, Director of Product at Emesent.

“From the Trimble ecosystem, we're eager to see how end-users leverage our solutions to plug seamlessly into their workflows and turn jobs, in even the most challenging sites, into standard surveying deliverables.”

Emesent’s Integration with Trimble: A True Capture, Connect, and Create Pipeline

The integration of Emesent's scanner-collected data into Trimble Connect enables end-users across surveying, engineering, construction, architecture, and beyond to leverage accurate spatial data captured through Emesent’s mature, field-proven SLAM technology.

Creating a true "capture, connect, and create" pipeline, raw scan data goes in, and clean point clouds come out, which get fed directly into Building Information Modeling (BIM) models, as-builts, and digital twins within Trimble Connect and Trimble Business Center.

 Emesent's Trimble workflow integration delivers:

  • Reliable Results, Every Single Time: End-users can rely on Emesent GX1 to deliver 5-10mm global accuracy with unconstrained SLAM, or 15mm global accuracy with RTK/PPK time and time again. They can also georeference data with GX1's inbuilt premium RTK/PPK receiver or pair a Hovermap STX with Trimble's GNSS System for RTK-validated accuracy at the point of capture.

  • Interoperability for a Seamless Workflow: Once captured, the data is processed in Emesent’s Aura Cloud, a cloud-hosted 3D data sharing and visualization platform, generating dense, georeferenced point clouds that flow straight into Trimble Connect and Trimble Business Center with no exports or cumbersome workarounds required.

  • Generate Value, Across Teams and Projects: With captured Emesent point cloud data available in Trimble Connect, users can build deliverables, collaborate, and share via their existing standardized workflows.

"Emesent has enabled their high-quality SLAM data to integrate with Trimble Connect and Trimble Business Center." said Tim Lemmon, Senior Marketing Director, Geospatial at Trimble.

"Trimble Connect is an extensible platform that is the gateway to the Trimble ecosystem, opening opportunities to integrate and extract full value from Emesent data within Trimble workflows."
