Public beta now open — existing clients with active subscriptions can share point clouds and 360° walkthroughs with any stakeholder via a single link, no software install required
Brisbane, Australia, June 3, 2026 ― Emesent, the autonomous SLAM-based mobile LiDAR scanning company, today announced the public beta launch of Aura Cloud – a cloud-hosted 3D data sharing and visualization platform. Aura Cloud allows clients to share captured point clouds and 360° imagery with any stakeholder in their workflow via a shareable browser link, eliminating the need for software installs, file transfers, or Emesent licenses.
Designed as the first cloud-native layer of the Emesent ecosystem, Aura Cloud extends the reach of captured 3D data to BIM designers, mining geologists, project managers, and other stakeholders who need to visualize and understand a site but who have no need for specialized scanning software or technical expertise. Recipients simply click a link and are immediately immersed in a browser-based 3D environment featuring point cloud data with 360° imagery layered in for full spatial context.
Emesent developed Aura Cloud as a response to calls for greater simplicity in sharing and visualizing point clouds. While the company's hardware products — including Emesent Hovermap and GX1 — excel at data capture in complex environments, teams consistently identified data hand-off as a compounding source of friction: processing, managing, and sharing large spatial datasets across project stakeholders remained cumbersome and time-consuming. Aura Cloud simplifies that hand-off with a single shareable link, freeing teams to focus on higher-value project work.
"Aura Cloud is about closing the loop between capture and decision-making. Our clients invest in world-class scanning technology because they need accurate, reliable spatial data — but that value is only fully realized when every stakeholder in the project can see and understand what was captured.
Aura Cloud removes the last barrier to that. No installs, no file transfers, no specialist knowledge required. You capture the site, share a link, and your client is walking through it in a browser within seconds. That changes the conversation.”

The beta release includes four core capabilities:
Aura Cloud is available now in public beta to existing Emesent clients. Teams are encouraged to upload a dataset, share it with stakeholders, and provide feedback to help shape the product ahead of broader release. Feature requests and workflow observations submitted during the beta period will directly inform the Aura Cloud development roadmap.
