Surveying wide open spaces with minimal features is notoriously difficult for most SLAM scanners - so we put Emesent GX1 to the test.
This detailed outdoor dataset was captured and georeferenced by an Emesent team member as part of the GX1 beta testing program. Walking the UQ's Great Court with the GX1 mounted on a backpack, the scan was completed in 34 minutes.
